Neurofeedback Benefits
Benefits of Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback is a process that teaches you to better regulate your brain for improved physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to empower and build self-awareness in children and adults. Neurofeedback can help people who face a variety of challenges improve their performance and optimize their potential at work, school, or home.
How Does Neurofeedback Work?
Neurofeedback works by training the brain to function at its maximum potential, which is similar to the way the body is exercised, toned, and maintained.
Brain wave activity is detected using EEG sensors. The sensors read brain wave activity; they do not send signals back to the brain. This is why neurofeedback is considered non-invasive.
Brain wave signals are sent to the computer which then interact with computer programs (such as neurofeedback video games). The sensors monitor brain waves while you interact with specially designed video games. This process helps you train your brain for better functioning, such as improved memory, attention, focus, and cognition.
Neurofeedback therapy has helped bring about improved focus, better self-awareness, and relaxation in children and adults.
By harnessing the dynamic power of your brain through the use of neurofeedback, you have the ability to train your brain to help resolve conditions that limit you from living your best life.
