Executive Functioning and Neurofeedback
Executive functioning refers to the brain’s ability to plan, organize, manage time, focus attention, and regulate emotions and behavior. These skills are essential for success at school, work, and in daily life. When executive functioning is impaired, individuals may struggle with procrastination, disorganization, poor impulse control, and difficulty following through on tasks.
Neurofeedback can strengthen the brain’s self-regulation abilities, helping individuals improve executive functioning without medication. By training specific brainwave patterns, neurofeedback enhances attention, working memory, emotional regulation, and mental flexibility. Clients often experience better task completion, reduced overwhelm, and improved time management.
Unlike medication, neurofeedback carries few side effects, with the most common being a temporary feeling of tiredness after a session.
